Harrisburg, PA, January 5, 2015– The Pennsylvania School Bus Association has announced that the new Executive Director of the PSBA will be Michael Berk. Michael is an experienced leader with over 23 years in successful non-profit management. Michael brings to the positon a keen understanding of the education business arena as he has held a School Board seat in his local district for more than ten years.

In his previous positions, Michael has developed professional working relationships with some of our same stakeholders such as Department of Education and PennDOT.  Michael holds his Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration/Labor Relations from Shippensburg University.   This combination of education, experience, skill and dynamic leadership will serve the PSBA well.

“We believe Michael will be an excellent leader and will work well with our membership to advance our key initiatives of Safety, Education and Advocacy,” said Blake Krapf, PSBA President.

“I look forward to building on the strong history and foundation of the PSBA so we can continue to help protect and strengthen our members’ businesses,” Berk said, “Building and maintaining strong relationships with members is vitally important. In the coming months, I am looking forward to meeting the membership both at our upcoming Regional Meetings and the Annual Convention.”

Michael lives in Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania with his two children, Devyn 17 and Adam, 14.
